Big Announcements at Its September “Awe Dropping” Event

Date: September 9, 2025 • Location: Apple Headquarters, Cupertino

Apple is preparing to unveil as many as seven new products at its upcoming September 9 event, marking one of the company’s largest hardware refreshes in years. The highlight is expected to be the first-ever iPhone 17 Air, alongside major updates to the Apple Watch, AirPods, and Pro iPhone models.

📱 iPhone 17 Air

The centerpiece of the event is rumored to be the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, replacing the iPhone Plus line. At just 5.5mm thick, it may become the thinnest iPhone ever. It is expected to feature a 6.6-inch 120Hz ProMotion display, a hybrid titanium-aluminum frame, and weigh around 145 grams. Compromises include a single 48MP rear camera and a smaller battery, but the device will come in multiple colors such as black, white, light gold, and light blue. Pricing is expected around $899.

📱 iPhone 17 & iPhone 17 Pro

The standard iPhone 17 will reportedly introduce a 24MP front camera and expand 120Hz displays to the entire lineup. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro models are said to feature a new pill-shaped camera bump with an upgraded 48MP telephoto lens supporting up to 8x optical zoom. The Pro lineup will also use aluminum backs for better durability and reduced weight, with new orange and blue color options expected.

⌚ Apple Watch Series 11

The new Apple Watch Series 11 is expected to focus on health, introducing blood-pressure trend tracking and powered by a new S11 chip. Connectivity improvements may also include 5G RedCap support, providing faster speeds compared to LTE models.

⌚ Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 may become the first smartwatch from Apple with standalone satellite connectivity, enabling emergency SOS and messaging without cellular service. It will also feature a brighter, larger display and improved fast charging, reportedly reaching 80% in just 30 minutes.

🎧 AirPods Pro 3

The AirPods Pro 3 are expected to bring health-focused features such as heart-rate monitoring through optical sensors. Additional updates include better Active Noise Cancellation, improved sound quality, a slimmer design, and potentially even temperature tracking and real-time translation.

🌟 What This Means for Apple

The September event is seen as the opening stage of a three-year transformation strategy, with future milestones including a foldable iPhone in 2026 and a radical all-glass “iPhone 20” in 2027. These hardware advances are designed to prepare users for a new era of spatial computing, with seamless integration across iOS, Vision Pro, and upcoming AR devices.

The event will be livestreamed on Apple’s website and platforms. Pre-orders for the new iPhones are expected to begin on September 12, with availability starting September 19.
