Oppo has launched the A18, an affordable Android smartphone that brings several notable features to the budget segment. Released in October 2023, this device offers a 90Hz display, durable IP54 rating, and substantial battery life at an accessible price point.

The Oppo A18 features a sleek design measuring 163.7mm tall and 8.2mm thick, weighing 188g. It's available in Black and Blue color options and boasts an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The device sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling and animations. With a resolution of 720 × 1612 pixels and 269 ppi density, the screen offers decent clarity for everyday use and reaches up to 720 nits peak brightness for better outdoor visibility.
Performance & Hardware
Under the hood, the Oppo A18 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset built on a 12nm process. The octa-core processor features two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, paired with the ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
The phone comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers two storage options: 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable via microSDXC card for additional space.
Camera
The camera system includes a dual rear setup featuring an 8MP primary sensor with ƒ/2.0 aperture and autofocus capability, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor with ƒ/2.4 aperture. The camera supports panorama mode and can record video at 1080p resolution and 30fps.
For selfies and video calls, there's a 5MP front-facing camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture, also capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Battery
The Oppo A18 is equipped with a substantial 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery, which should provide all-day usage on a single charge for most users.

The device runs Android 13 out of the box with Oppo's ColorOS 15 interface. It's upgradable to Android 15, offering users access to the latest software features and security updates.
