Oppo Reno12 F 4G Launches with Vibrant AMOLED Display

Oppo has expanded its Reno12 series with the new Reno12 F 4G, a mid-range smartphone that combines a vibrant display with capable performance. Launched in August 2024, this device offers a modern feature set while remaining connected to 4G networks.
Design & Display
The Oppo Reno12 F 4G features a sleek design measuring just 7.7mm thick and weighing 187g. It's available in Green, Grey, and Orange color options and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water splash resistance.
The device's standout feature is its 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive touch. With Full HD+ resolution (1080 × 2400 pixels) and a peak brightness of 2100 nits, the screen offers excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. The display is protected by Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2.
Performance & Hardware
Under the hood, the Reno12 F 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset built on a 6nm process. The octa-core processor includes four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.8GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.9GHz, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and offers two storage options: 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For additional expansion, there's a microSDXC card slot available.
Camera System
The Reno12 F 4G features a triple camera setup on the rear headed by a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. This is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots.
For selfies and video calls, there's a 32MP front-facing camera. Both rear and front cameras can record video at 1080p resolution at 30fps. Camera features include HDR, panorama, and LED flash support.
Battery & Charging
The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. A notable feature is reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to serve as a power bank for other devices.
Software & Features
The Reno12 F 4G runs Android 14 with Oppo's ColorOS 15 interface out of the box. The company has committed to an upgrade path to Android 15. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and other sensors include accelerometer, compass, and proximity sensor.
Connectivity
As the name suggests, this is a 4G-only device supporting LTE networks across multiple bands. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS with multiple satellite systems. Notably, the device does not include NFC capability.
Audio & Multimedia
The phone features stereo speakers for enhanced audio experience but omits the 3.5mm headphone jack, requiring USB-C or wireless headphones for audio playback.
