Oppo has launched the A3 Pro in India, bringing 5G connectivity and durable design to the budget segment. Priced at ₹15,299, this smartphone offers a balanced package of performance, camera capabilities, and battery life with some notable protection features.

Design & Display

The Oppo A3 Pro features a sleek design measuring 165.8mm tall and 7.7mm thick, weighing 186g. It comes in Black and Purple color options and boasts an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, providing everyday protection against accidental spills.

The device sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. The HD+ resolution (720 × 1604 pixels) delivers 264 ppi density, while the 1000 nits peak brightness ensures good visibility outdoors. The screen is protected by Panda Glass and offers an 85% screen-to-body ratio.

Performance & Hardware

At its core, the Oppo A3 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6nm process. The octa-core processor features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The phone is available in multiple configurations: 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For additional storage needs, there's a microSDXC card slot for expansion.

Camera

The camera system includes a dual rear setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera supports HDR, panorama modes, and can record video at 1080p resolution at 30 or 60fps.

For selfies and video calls, there's an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture that also records 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery & Charging

The Oppo A3 Pro is equipped with a substantial 5100mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. According to Oppo's claims, the charging technology can take the battery from 0 to 50% in approximately 30 minutes.

Software & Features

The device runs on Android 14 with Oppo's ColorOS 15 interface and is upgradable to Android 15. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security along with standard sensors including accelerometer, compass, and proximity sensor.

Connectivity

Connectivity options are comprehensive with 5G support across multiple bands (n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, n78), dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS with multiple satellite support, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support. The phone also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
